Sooo Why cant unplayed sims make their own decisions (Marry,Children and Dating)

Im having this problem, So in my game I have 2 or 3 familys that I play but all the other familys are dying out... Is this just my game, can anybody tell me if maybe its my settings? I just want the s...

I actually kind of like it this way, I don't really want the Goths to expand their family while I'm off playing someone else. To me it doesn't feel right with the premades knowing their stories.
But an option ( enable / disable ) would be nice, maybe even a general option and then one specific to each household.
