Spellcasters and fairies: can they be friends

Well I guess having fairies in Glimmerbrooke and spellcasters in Innisgreen would not be that hot of an idea.  I like drama but not that kind, built-in dislike.🤨 

I don't own the new expansion, but I remember well that a similar thing had happened for Werewolves and Vampires. In their case the “loyal” trait had made it so that a friendship could develop very quickly. Maybe the same thing could happen for Fairies and Spellcasters.

So out socializing the initial negative start to fairy/spellcaster relationship isn't bad (getting fables and doing fables with fairies isn't hard), but boy when you go the the fairy lounge as a spellcaster and get looped into a group social, you do not look liked at all LOL.

I turned my farm hand into a fairy and with zero/start relationship she drains emotions and built up negative relationship, till I made friends with her. But it is funny to leave home with the farm hand in human form doing tasks, to go to Everdew to see her again in fairy form (in two places at once XD).

So far mermaids and werewolves when introduced I've gotten a pop up saying they are on good terms and start with higher positive bar. The spellcasters start off negative. Has anyone tested Vampires and Aliens? 

I was finally able to do a little bit of testing. All fairies and spellcasters start of with a negative red bar, regardless of who initiates the introduction. I tested with sims who are not in the same household. Thankfully the bar can be brought to green with friendly interactions. Fairies and spellcasters with a good social compatibility (growing together) seem to build up friendship faster but even incompatible sims can become friends.

Thalia and Louise have a negative start but get on better after a little while, despite being socially incompatible.

To my great surpise Thalia invited herself for a stay over at Louise's house less than 24 hours after meeting each other. I have yet to play for a longer amount of time but there is hope. 

I just made a Spellcaster and Fairy in CAS, teens and dating from the get-go. Half the interactions are fine, half of them (even if they previously liked it before) give them a negative hit. They can be romantic easily, but friendly is super hit or miss! They generated in the game with almost zero friendship despite being set as ‘partners,’ and fairly little romance bar. Very annoying and I hope we can fix this with a mod! Weird how some people seem to have no issues with it, though. 

My theory is that the team couldn't come up with an interaction between fairies and spellcasters so they just went with them being enemies.  

Had my first non-household fairy meeting. Titiana and my spellcaster who greeted her respectfully. It immediately went to red/negative BUT how? It was a respectful greeting! X /

This is the kind of scenario I don't want in my game. I hope there is a way to counter this. Oberon and his family were the first premades I was interested in for a while but if he is so intolerant towards other magical races, I might reconsider. 

My spellcaster sim politely introduces himself to a fairy and their relationship bar is immediately halfway in red. Oberon came uninvited to my house, my sim invited him in nonetheless and Oberon threw a drink into his face for no reason at all. They really do despise spellcasters.
