Spooky Parties: How do I get Sims to come in the costumes I set for them?

Hi, wondered if anyone could help me with this?

I would like to host a Spooky party with a few of my Sim household's friends but find everyone keeps turning up wearing completely random outfits instead of their party clothes. (On the first try I had a pizza delivery driver, two postal workers and three people in the SAME Star Wars outfit. Mind you, my sims are all quite eccentric occults so perhaps they decided to dress as regular humans for Halloween? :D ).

I spent a good while editing their party outfits in CAS to spooky attire and assumed that was what they'd all wear for the party, but it seems not.

I don't have all the packs (only EPs I have are Eco Lifestyle and Island Living) so am wondering if that has anything to do with it?

Is there anywhere/ object interaction that you can set Spooky Party costumes? (Was looking forward to the photos...)

There is an «ask to see outfit» interaction though I don't know if it's BG or if it came with a pack.
  • @Dannydanbo thank you. I wondered about that, but wasn't sure if I could do that for guests. Will give it a go. ?
  • The spooky party will cause guests to arrive in a random costume that was available at the time the Spooky Stuff pack came out. If your costume choice is the only option in the "Party" category then Amandele's suggestion will suffice. But you can't choose which party outfit so if they have more than one set they may or may not choose the costume.
  • They really should add a costume category in CAS for spooky day/parties I really hate random outfits picked out sometimes I don't even know which Sim it is what without clicking the name. Also none of my Sims should ever be using Star Wars outfits and that should be my choice.

If you don't mind Mods, MCCC has an option that let's you change sims outfits under the dresser tab. I find this very convenient when I want sims to wear certain attire for special events.
  • Thank you everyone for your help. :) I managed to get my hosts to change their costumes by sticking a wardrobe on the lot. Couldn't do anything about the guests but on this try the costume choices were much better so I went with that.
I actually quite like the idea that you never know who's going turn up in what. Will have to experiment with this too...
