Spooky Stuff costumes unavailable for Spooky Day holiday?

Being the huge halloweenie that I am, I made a spooky day holiday in the calendar. However, after clicking on my sim and selecting "wear costume" the spooky stuff costumes aren't listed as options. Is...

Really? I was planning on getting Spooky Day to go with Seasons, partly for the costumes. But if the game doesn't recognise them as costumes, that's really unfortunate.
