These "unwritten rules" are universal. And again, if they are so young and voulnerable they shouldn't be using a platform they don't know how to use and open themselves up to this.
It is just a question of ethics and morals. EA/Maxis can own everything but they do not create the specific creations of uploaders. So it IS stealing ideas and creations even if the sources of the creation objects are owned by Maxis. Maxis does not own the ideas and creativity of the players.

If you're too young to understand it, which understandably is the problem here, don't get involved. I dunno if there's an age limit on the Gallery or not but there sure should be one.

edit: the back up thing is very understandable though but if you're out there with another person's creation claiming it as your own... you're doing it wrong. And if you don't know you're doing it wrong then people are obviously telling you. And you can't start crying victim, just accept what you've done and stopdoing it.
