I would love this in game!!!! I love creating drama in my saves, and there are some points where I question how some of my sims are millionaires because you could probably con them out of their fortunes in one conversation!!!
I mean, your neighbor, whom your dad is friends with has a baby that looks a lot like your dad... Hm, neat! Like no, let’s get suspicious lmao! Especially since sims that have the jealous trait don’t have a lot going for them for storytelling purposes. I think being able to accuse sims of infidelity, or being purposefully rude to a sim that their SO is friends with would make the trait more engaging. But I think that they would need to somehow input an attraction system, so the sim wouldn’t just ice out at every single sim their SO is friends with, but rather, sims that meet 1 or more of their SO’s attraction levels.
Maybe I’ve subconsciously taken after my soap watching ancestors, but I really want more drama. I think it would be so funny if they patched in better family trees (for when you find out that the evil doppelgänger coming for your family fortune is actually your long lost twin brother, twice removed- of course), digging through trash for drama, and the potential to sabotage things- the invitations dress code, food, entertainment, etc.
I know there are some simmers who have very particular methods of playing, and the drama storytelling stuff doesn’t apply to how they run things, but both SimTubers and other simmers alike are getting tired of using ‘imagination’ for our Desperate Housewives/Dynasty/Pretty Little Liars save files!
