The similarities between the pack and the show are either generic sci-fi things (hazmat suits, government intervention, conspiracies, etc) or something you'd have to squint at to notice. The show and the pack just
loosely share a theme. That's it.
The "Mother", or whatever Strangerville's mystery is, doesn't look like it has any substantial similarities to the Stranger Things' mystery. Fans of the show might get a kick out of making the Stranger Things kids solve the mystery, though.
