Strangerville toddler issue

My sim has been doing the mystery in Strangerville, and now the vines are growing in the plumbing. The main issue I have is that once vines have grown in the bathtub, I can't bathe a toddler in there. Even wkyg the vines cleared out. I have to buy a new tub. Anyone else encounter this?

    I haven't had a family live in that town. I took my Enterprise crew on a mission to it and they ran through the scenario. I do know they couldn't get clean if they showered in the tub full of vines. Yikes.
