Why not keep her as "Tech Guru" for this scenario but in the "Extraterrestrial" have her in the astronaut career but if she doesn't lose her status if you switch careers let her be the astronaut and then tech guru
Ok that won't work unless you save her to the library in the Tech Guru career before you switch and remember to choose that save of Nova for the "Extraterrestrial" scenario instead of her fresh from CAS
