Successful breeding of Pets?
Has anyone been successful yet in getting your pet pregnant? I have 2 pet raccoons that have mated 3 times but I still don't think the one is pregnant. Are there any tips you have??

This sounds like they dislike each other to be honest. There must be requirements of certain relationships for them to breed. What traits do they each have?
The female is stubborn, jumpy, and playful. The male is loyal, curious, and a hunter. I keep selecting for the male to be nice to the female but nothing happens- It worked for me the first time with my dogs but my cats still havn't gotten kittens yet and I don't know why, they mate but it doesn't seem like she ever gets pregnant. I've tried like 20 times but it doesn't work. Now 2 of my cats have mated on their own without me telling them to do so, so hopefully they will have kittens now.
- I'm trying to figure out the weird bias my dogs seem to have for eachother. the male dogs and female dogs don't seem interested in eachother, yet they defiantly seem in heat (they use the heart idle almost every second :lol: ).
But even when I try to get them to be nice to one another, it's like they just ignore my sim or when they do, it ends in a really bad interaction. Though what I also notice is, the female dogs and male dogs were from separate households. I tried with cats in the same household and it worked perfectly.
So now I'm wondering, do pets have to be in the same household to successfully mate? - I am checking back into this thread to report that I successfully mated cats on the first try!
- Okay so after doing some testing, I had decided to place a male dog in the household that had female dogs.aaaannd...

I also have this problem, I have tried multiple times. It's always a case of the birth happens, I name the pups, then nothing. Moved house after one instance and two miraculously appeared. Though they were two different litters and blatantly not the same breed as the parents who were both Irish Wolfhounds. I've looked around since Cats and Dogs came out and I can't find any solution to this. - I just made a new household with two akita/pit bull mixes. They seemed to like eachother, and then I asked them both to be nice to eachother. Then I noticed they were both in heat so I encouraged the male to mate with the female and she got pregnant first try! I was notified pretty much right away since my sim was sleeping and time was sped up. How long does it take for the dog to go into labor?

I’m having the exact same issues! I even made the owners be friends with both too. I dont know what to do. I’ve tried over fifty times.
