- GalacticGal7 years agoLegendHi. I just thought I'd do a follow-up on my Off-The-Grid woes. I did a repair game and voila, I can now use that lot trait in the other towns! This is me smiling so hard my cheeks ache. :D
Thank you, All, for your your advice and encouraging words. I might never have realized the problem, otherwise. :) - paigeisin57 years agoSeasoned AceYAY!! Now you can play your story as you wanted to. Keep us updated on your family's progress and add a couple of screenshots if you have the time. You always seem to have such interesting storylines. :)

Oh they can I tend to forget my sims have a garden and their plants always die. ?
Hummm.....it's pretty straightforward. There's no going wrong with gardening in TS4. I've never had a plant die on my sims tbh I don't even know if they can die lol.
It's not realistic like in TS2. In TS2 you really need to track your weather, because you can over water plants and they'll die. - GalacticGal7 years agoLegendYes, they can die of neglect. Or, sometimes your Cow Plant dies despite all the care and feeding. :open_mouth:

Thank you, what a kind thing to say. :) - The only thing I have noted that seems different than the other worlds, is that I believe they seem to grow at around 5am instead of 4am

Thank you, what a kind thing to say. I don't yet have the couple married, so it might be a little while. Having to run back and forth to see the new baby twin grandchildren in the NICU, too, curbs my playing time. But, hey, we have RL TWINS! - Hope your new baby twin g-kids (& their mom!) continue to do well, @GalacticGal! --I remember seeing one of my sibs holding his pre-mature child; he has big hands & she was so small it seemed like she fit in the palm of his h and! She's all grown up now (a master-teacher!). May yours thrive!

Thank you. Got the word yesterday, that both twins are back up to their birth weights. They are off their feeding tubes and the oxygen. :) - oxfordsplice7 years agoNew VeteranMy sim has a thriving garden on an off-the-grid beach lot. I have some issues with the off-the-grid trait, but gardening isn't one of them. She is able to water and tend the plants normally. She's got an area of fruits, vegetables, and herbs and they're not all exotic either. Everything has been out of doors though.
