- Just wondering how long it takes to get better quality results -
- JoRN14146 years agoSeasoned AceI'm still trying things out. So far my Sim that has max Cooking, Gourmet level 4 and Baking level 7 still makes poor quality food on the searer.
- Sketch7936 years agoSeasoned AceYou can use the Garnish interaction to improve food quality if you get your sim's Gourmet Cooking skill to level 10. Even if it starts out Poor, it should only take a couple garnishes to have Excellent quality.
- @JACKIEJOY best idea so far - I'll try it - tired of all the time to do the bbq and have it be poor quality
- @JACKIEJOY - didn't work - got the trait - saved - played other household - came back and did bbq - still poor quality.
- Sketch7936 years agoSeasoned AceGave it a try. Got Normal quality Kalua Pork from Cook Feast. Cooking skill 10, Gourmet Cooking skill 5, lot traits were Study Spot, Homey, and Romantic Aura. Also got Normal quality Pork Adobo from Grand Pit BBQ Feast.
- @sketch793 when you pick a bbq dish there is a "skill level" - for me the skill level for each recipe is "1". Is your skill level higher? Good thought about lot traits - I may adjust that.
- Sketch7936 years agoSeasoned Ace@simstr0ng My Cooking skill was 10 and my Gourmet Cooking skill was 5, as I said above.
- @JACKIEJOY - I've tried all you tried except child of the islands. I've tried 2 Sims in my main family and one other. I've tried 3 lots. All feasts on the bbq come out "poor".
@Sketch793 - one of my Sims reached 10 level cooking - all of a sudden there was a new bbq pit recipe for chicken with skill level 10 - my 10 level Sim made it and it came out "poor".
