Sweet FX - Windows 10 October Update 2018 - Sims 4 Game Not Starting Fix
If you use Burntwaffles SweetFX and have updated your windows 10 you may find the game wont load and you get an error, the fix is as follows guys.
I did some digging, because Sims 4 doesn't use DirectX 11 anyway, it is safe to just remove two of the injected files that SweetFX injects in the Sims 4 directory:
Delete: dxgi.dll (or rename to dxgi.dll.bak)
Delete: dxgi.fx (or rename to dxgi.fx.bak)
You game will now run and SweetFX works a treat, happy simming
