Every world in Sims 3 has a different shading and water shader, that‘s why they look so wastly different.
For example Bridgeport is very dark with muddy water shader and Isla Paradiso has a bright shader that makes everything appear pastel.
Most of them yeah. I think Sunset Valley, Riverview, Barnacle Bay and Hidden Springs share the same one but the rest were given different sky and water shades to appear different.
