Teen empathy

So, I recently got parenthood, (the black friday sale) and I have a teenage boy in one of my saves and when I got parenthood I saw that he had really bad empathy. Just wondering, how do you increase empathy for teens and toddlers?

  • For teens, the fastest way to increase empathy is to have them volunteer (it's under travel, I think). Children can play with the doctor set. Toddlers (and kids) can also be taught to say sorry.

You can also wait for the ask for advice chance cards, but you don't get to see what you're increasing until parenting skill 4 or 5, and the older the kids are, the slower parenting increases.
  • If you want a faster method, since I've learned the hard way, teens don't learn as easily as they do when younger. There's a cheat for it.

testingcheats true, enter, stats.set_stat lifeSkillStatistic_Manners 100, for instance. You can vary that number if you're only looking to give them a slight boost. Sometimes I'll give them 45. It works on all of the values. Just follow that as typed (changing out Manners for the value) and voila. On the values that have two words use _ConflictResolution and for the other one, _EmotionalControl.

Hope that helps. Enjoy this Pack! I think it's great. Finally, we get a real say in how our born in-game Simmies turn out. :)
