Teens drinking in my game? Bug.

I think because it can make sims dazed, which mimics the effects of drugs, so I suppose due to the game rating that’s why teens can’t partake. I don’t think they can use the bubble blower either for the same reason. But I don’t totally remember because I haven’t used it in awhile.

They can use the bubble blower, but they cough and sputter and don't like it (at least that's what my teens did). They don't get into it and float around like adults do.

It's just juice?

I think the Sims team is being deliberately non-committal on this issue. If they call it juice, then its fine, right, no ethical problems, but at the same time they make it appear to be alcoholic wine, beer, spirits, so it creates the illusion of drinking alcohol.

It’s not a bug and it’s very common in a lot of European countries for teens to drink without it being a taboo subject. Here in the uk you can legally drink alcohol at home from aged 5 onwards, 16 if served with food and 18 to buy. I know in the USA it’s 21 and lower in some states but the for a lot of the world the age is lower then 21. So for me the game adds a lot of realism sending my sim family to a restaurant and the teens ordering a drink is normal and drinking from the bar in any homes or holiday rentals. I remember being on holiday in France as a child and seeing many French families let young children drink a small glass of wine with a meal so for me the whole adults only drink alcohol is more abnormal than normal. Plus as others have said it’s juice in the game not alcohol but i think it is just without any moodlets if they drink too much which I wish they would add.

The drinking law in the US is a buying law not a consumption law.

Maybe they had a fake ID ?
