So tell me about vacations in Sims 4. Are they great? What's your favorite? How often do you use the vacation feature? If you have more than one, what's your favorite/least favorite? If you played Sims 3, tell me how it compares.
I enjoy vacations. I use the feature regularly and frankly would like more options so that vacationing can be less repetitive. Jungle Adventure has more to do and more culture so given a choice, it's a good one. Outdoor Retreat does need more activities. I've sent some families camping and staying in cabins there though. One time recently, I sent sims in the spring who were from Sulani and the weather just rained for days. I actually canceled the vacation because there wasn't enough to do indoors with constant rain. I don't have Journey to Batuu which is a vacation to outer space.
I played Sims 3 World Adventures a long time ago. I liked it but it also crashed for me a lot. I liked having 3 worlds in 1 pack but I generally like Sims 4 worlds.
When Sims are on vacation, are they excused from work? Does it cost money? If you extend your vacation do you still have to leave for the office every day? I just keep finding more questions to ask.
If your sims work or are in school, they use their vacation leave so there's a limit if you want them to keep their jobs or grades up. You can also choose how many days they go so it's possible to go for just a weekend or a few days. You can extend the vacation but per above, you'll want to make sure they have enough leave for it if they work or study. From what I recall, you used to have to call into work or school but now the days are subtracted automatically.
