For the record, I did briefly consider turning Braelin into a merman instead of a spellcaster, but ultimately decided I wanted him to have more powers than what mermaids have. And spellcaster felt like it suited him better.
You aren't kidding, I've seen like a dozen people with the same idea. Great minds think alike. I've been looking for something to get me into RoM. I've wanted to love that pack but have never been able to. The idea for that pairing hit me when I remembered a past conversation with a friend on an unrelated topic.
They just feel like they go together. It would have been cool if spellcasters could have a werewolf be their familiar when in wolf form. Maybe someone will make a mod for that...
Oh, I would be all over that if it was possible.
