For me, I was going to make a primitive era world with 3 cultures in 3 separate neighborhoods/kingdoms, 1 with blonde hair, 1 with red hair, and 1 with black hair. Then I was going to eventually start mixing them together. Well, after I made all of my blonde people, it was too hard to keep everyone straight—they all looked alike what with the similar coloring, not to mention that the clothes to fit into that timeframe were limited, so they pretty much dressed alike, too. Plus I had a bunch of townies walking around in modern clothes and the neighborhood graphics of suburban homes that I had to build walls to hide. It was a nightmare. I abandoned it pretty quickly.

I tried to do the historical Sims challenge which starts in the pre-historic era and basically ran into the same problems, plus cave Sims using cellphones :/ .
I bailed pretty quickly.
