Every time i started a new save i had to do things like put in additional houses, put in public venues like restaurants and the bowling alley, add lot traits to parks, etc etc which obviously becomes very tedious after more than a few times.So i created a world where all the worlds were set up to my liking and from that save, i spawn all my other new saves with a simple "save as".Anyone else do this?

Not sure how soon I'll get to it, but I'm always doing the Save As, since someone suggested it keeps the save from getting corrupted. And, I label them, too. Just wish said labeling would show up in the document folder. It used to be so much easier …

Then when you want to start a new game, select this save file to load and immediately , once it loads, select " save as" and name it whatever, now you can use this game file to start your new play. Your template is untouched.One thing I noticed, is that in a game file you need to always have one household selected as played/active, whatever its called now. The game does not like when there are no houses selected in that.

In all my templates, Johnny Zest is always the selected household and therefore the thumbnail for them, one, because I leave the neighboring lot to his "pebble burrow" empty, to use to load gallery sims as townies, and, two, cause I just like him, and I can tell its the template at a glance by the thumbnail.

I'm working on one, but made it way harder than I needed it to be by deleting 90% of the games lots. However progress is moving well, and I'm probably 70-75% done. I've built tons, and made so many townies, it's made me realize we are in desperate need of new traits and hairstyles.

Also being able to more easily randomize a full sim including their traits. I got bored pretty quickly making mine lmao

I have two.
One with several of my own builds (I'm nowhere near finished on rebuilding everything) and a mix of my own Sims, friends' Sims and some Sims from the gallery.
The other is my premades 2025 save, with (altered) maxis lots and Sims.I think the link to the thread about it is still in my signature. That save is up for download if anyone is interested (although you probably need all packs up to C&D to make it work instantly).
