It works best if you have all the guests in your household so you can control them, and yes turning off free will is a must lol. I have one sim take enough servings of food and put each plate in their inventory. Then I make everyone sit. Then I drag a plate in front of each sims. While on pause, I select the “eat” option for each sim and then I unpause. You can start a couple conversations after they all have been told to eat so it’s not just everyone eating in silence lol. Even then, there’s still only such a limited amount of time that you can get a good screenshot ?
@permanentrose @mcrudd I just "call to meal" and they come and take servings and eat together? As long as there's enough dining chairs and no clutter taking up places at the table, it works pretty well
I do like to lock the kitchen except for the cook during dinner parties-- there is a lot of fridge snacking/cooking autonomy otherwise haha
