The amount of locked outfits is insane

As many of you know there are outfits in the sims that are locked as a reward and your sim has to earn them by completing a career or visiting a specific festival. And right now the amount of outfits that show up when I filter on unlocked outfits is becoming overwhelming

Some of the outfits are really nice. I especially like the hat and pants from the style influencer career and the necklace and earrings from eco lifestyle.

I sometimes don't understand why so nice items are hidden to the point where a lot of players don't even know they are there.

If anyone is interested in these outfits, I have uploaded my sim to the gallery here. Just add her to your household. You can delete her afterwards but the unlocks will stick to your household and all the outfits will be available. The only ones that are not unlocked with this sim are the ones from nifty knitting. This is intentional because I like to create these outfits for my sims through gameplay. The nifty knitting outfits have a cheat code to unlock them. I wish we could get a cheat to unlock all clothing across all packs. At this moment I only know of 4 DLC with a cheat to unlock outfits.

    That is indeed a lot of locked outfits.

    I liked to make sims in CAS so I had a mod which unlocked most of them so I could create what I wanted. (Unlocked CAS Parts by Fogity). Because I was not going to replay a several year old pack just so I could make a sim who used the same hat from city living or whatever.

    And sorry if this is off topic, but I can't believe that they haven't given us the option to have more columns in CAS without mods, you made a great overview of all the outfits in your pictures with 4 columns.

    The developers often forget that in a sims game the user is both the player and the game master. Of course it makes sense to tie an individual sim's right to wear special outfits to that sim's achievements. But it doesn't make sense to restrict the player from using everything that is in the game when they want to set up their world, co-workers, antagonists or simply townies.

    I wouldn't let a random sim wear the detective uniform with the badge, even if it was unlocked for everyone right from the beginning. So why lock it in the first place?

    Once I started to use the more columns mod I can't play without it any more. It is odd that the sims team doesn't offer it as an option in the game. The update that allows us to scale the ui would have been a good opportunity to add more optional columns.

    That is probably the reason why they are locked. But I am not going to play every career with every sim. I want to be able to use what is in the game. Now if I could unlock it for all households across all save games, then I would be interested. That's how it works for sims medieval where you can also unlock clothing. But in sims 4 I would have to unlock them over and over again for every household. And I have no interest in doing that more than once.

    I'm not sure if anyone already said this, but I do like that the worlds that I pay for with real money lol - as well as the stuff packs and etc - have the clothes for "free"...because like I said, I spent real world money on them. Too much money. Which is...honestly something I don't like about Sims. I think it would be better to buy the game then have all the worlds and etc as free updates, like every single other game that I play. But you know. Capitalism and greed and all that.

    I agree that we need a master unlock cheat for CAS (as well as at least one more column). Builders get to unlock everything in the game that they can use with a few different cheats, but stylists don't? There are so many Get Famous outfits that I love to use for my Occults, eccentrics and historic and fantasy Sims but I have to bring in an external mod to do it.

    Can we please, PLEASE get a master cheat for all clothing and accessories, plus one for all Occult features like eyes, markings, scars, pointed ears, etc? I really want to use them interchangeably to create more unique characters. It's such a bummer that we can't access them as needed. ?

    Scary amount of locked things there. Didn't realize so many until you pointed it out, Atreya. There is a mod out there that does the unlocking. Learned about it a few years ago here on the forums. I forget who made it so need to wake the game up to check. While I've not used evrything, have taken advantage many times over the years.

    Omg, I am so happy I found this thread! There is some awesome CAS stuff locked there. I didn't even know most of that existed. I will be using MCC to make sure these are automatically unlocked from now on!

    I use the CAS.UnlockByTag all the time to unlock outfits & accessories.
    FYI: Did you know that there’s a western hat in Get Famous pack. I just found out in June after having & playing the pack for over 5 years. Yup, I’m not the most observant player. Lol???
