The autonomous snow shoveling is quite literally driving me insane

I can't be the only one experiencing this: a sim is in the middle of a conversation and then takes off, runs five miles across the zone, and proceeds to shovel a random snow drift. What in the actual....

The interaction makes sense if it actually cleared a spot for them to walk, like the path to the front door but in my game it’s usually a random spot behind the house. I don’t get this bug often luckily.
