I haven't seen the walkthrough if you want to call it that. However, I do remember days of yore when producers like Ben Bell showed Seasons for TS2 and we got a very good idea of what was in a pack. He showed the trees turning colors, (fall) a Sim picking some fruit at harvest time (new and shows there were new activities like gardening through the seasons) he showed Sims having a snowball fight and on and on. This walkthough was setup with Sims already played, set to go and the seasons set up to show us each one and the new activites a played family was able to do through a season and different seasons. It got everyone excited for Seasons (something we didn't have in TS1) very professional, well thought out, very good setup of the different stages of the cycles. It was pre setup before going live. Prepared , Professinal, and their walkthroughs never interrupted a Sim and grabbed them to do something else. They already had it planned out and to highlight the best parts of a pack and very, very entertaining and professional. It didn't leave players wandering what was in a pack the way these walkthroughs have been done like a slap happy moment where they can't even find what they are trying to show. At least play the game sometimes so they can familiarize themselves with the controls.
Scripted events they set up beforehand like what happens to the Sim after the degree would have been a good way to highlight why bother going to college. Jumping around without focus will always make a very poor walkthrough. Lay it out, set it up and then script the dialogue of the gurus to answer most questions and not get off on other subjects. Stick to a script like creating a movie and show the best parts and have one person read questions. No pausing and lack of focus. Time Continuim focus. Enter college, finish college. And all the quirks in- between.
I agree, they should’ve at least had an outline of their most important points to follow also please next time, at least disable autonomy for your played sim(s) and do the stop need decay cheat for the entire world.
