Oh yes. And they will kick it quickly. I had a Sim on the criminal path and one of the milestones was to witness the death of another Sim or something like that so he made dinner for her (and wasn't a great cook). RIP first wife that he actually married for the money which he used to upgrade his home... >:)
Whaaaa!!! That's crazy! I usually play sims pretty safe so I've never done the criminal career path. Witness death! How much did they get in her will cause don't they kind of share the household income?
