The main game mode is pronounced...

My brain always wants to default to the "live" that rhymes for "five" in this case, even when saying "I build in build mode. Sims live in live mode." I can't help saying the second "live" like it rhymes with "five". I am sure not going to rewire my brain over this.

I've always pronounced it Live (hive) because, in my mind, my sims are either paused or alive - also, as mentioned earlier, when I'm playing my sims are "live and on camera". I was really surprised to learn, quite recently, that a lot of people pronounce it Live (give). I doubt that I will bother to change, because my definition works for me. I can't quite get into Live/give.

I've always called it live like Sims try to act alive with a life simulation game. It just has always flowed better for me saying it that way.

Oh darn. I accidentally picked the wrong option. I pronounced it like "give". But only when I found out it was pronounced like that. When I was younger, I pronounced it the other way.

I voted for "give," but in my head I pronounce it both ways. I find myself saying both when I talk about it, too. "Build" is a verb, so it makes the most sense to pair it with the verb form of "live." Then again, things don't always make sense...

I voted for live rhymes with five on accident, but I always pronounce it live rhymes with give.

I pronounce it live (give). It just sounds better in my head. Plus, that's the mode your sims live in. When I first started playing the sims, I started with TS3, I pronounced it live (hive). That was until I heard most of the Sims YouTubers pronounce it the other way. I just assumed everyone pronounced it that way.
