The New App

The EA app is designed to keep itself up-to-date. This means when you log in, it’ll automatically update to the newest version.

If you have the app running when a new update launches, it will not automatically update. Instead, exit out and restart it to begin the update.

Yay, if I understand, fully, what you're saying, I don't have to go to the trouble of removing that Beta app, first. Way cool. I hate Windows 10. Things were so much easier to do with Windows 7. I've had 10 for long enough, but I'm still sorting through it. Oi!

@simgirl1010 I just opened the old Beta and presto, it went into update mode. Way cool. Thanks, again, for your response!

And what do I do, if I want to disable automatically updates for the game? I can't find the option in the new app.

@simsister2004 As far as stopping updates for the game, if you click on your account picture in the top right corner of the ea app, then click settings, there's an option under the "download" menu in settings for automatic game updates. There's also another option under the application section of settings to stop updates for the EA app itself. I haven't had the ea app long enough to know if they work for sure, but those settings should do the trick.
