The night wraith

I just learned that the sims has an evil entity or troublesome one called the night wraith. I heard if you use magic you can conjure him and cast a spell or curse on another sim that he will stalk? Is this the sims version or an evil spirit? Has anyone had their sin cursed with it? Can spellcasters just be cursed or can regular sims as well?

    One of my spellcasters is stalked by the night wraith, so she cannot sleep, ever, and her energy stays in the red. Pretty sure it's for spellcasters only, because my sim got it through a failed spell.

    Can you um...like, not be bothered by it if you have the brave reward trait? Is that what that's for?
