I am in no way being a Debbie Downer, at least that is not my intention. I am the type of player that prefers to live in, for example Willow Creek. I'd love to be able to live in Willow Creek, but buy a vacation home or be able to rent a house in Sulani. I am so excited for this pack, it looks like a dream come true. What are your opinions? Would you prefer living on the Island, or vacationing there.

I would prefer living there, so I'm happy that it's not a vacation world, but what if they added the ability the own multiple proprieties, like in TS3 Island Paradise? That way you could have a regular house in another world and a beach house in Sulani.

Vacationing first, moving there later. The first sims that will explore the new world will be my tourguide and either the photojournalist or a handful of close friends of the tourguide's.I'm easy to please, though, and not interested in running a resort. All I need is a generic lot and money adjusting cheat and that is good enough as a hotel for me. I also use normal reisdential lots as vacation homes (moving a placeholder sim into the vacationeers' home for the duration of their absence). It worked for Oasis Springs, it will work again for Sulani.

Well, that's simple. Make the vacation home a retail store and buy it. And thats it. You have your house in Willow Creek and your vacation home in Sulani.

I think that both options are fine. Can totally see my sims just going there for a summer break. But now that it's still new, I'm gonna first live there and embrace the culture and the conservationist lifestyle.

Vacations are too restrictive if you're out of vacation days. I like this, I can just send one of my Sims there whenever they are off work or something. I wish Sims could own two houses too, but I like the idea of making a retail store and buying it though (plus we can sell souvenirs, right?).

If you have get work, and you want a “vacation home,” then you can make it a retail lot and go from there. Just never open it :lol:

I’m really happy that it’s a world sims can live it. If you wanted to vacation there could you use the tents (if you have Outdoor Retreat) and make your own campsite on the beach? I’ll definitely try that with some Sims who don’t live on Sulani.

I love to live in San Myshuno. I'd like to stay in a resort/hotel while in Sulani. Or at least rent or buy a vacation home.

Well I'd like both. Different situations apply to different Sims. I can see certain Sims living there and others visiting every now and then. Options is the best option.

I love that is a residential world.

Back in TS3, and despite all the bugs, my favourite world to play in was Isla Paradiso. I liked that it wasn't given the vacation treatment and it made it feel inclusive in many ways. Not everyone irl lives in suburban America, and Sims should have the chance to live in as many diverse places as possible.

I mean, they could technically make it BOTH a vacation spot and a place you can live at, that solves all the problems.
