The sad life of Zoe Patel
Zoe met Sergio Romeo and fell immediately for him. She had no idea that he’s a serial romantic and was dating 4 other women. When she walked in and found him in bed with the maid, she ran away.
She bumped into Malcolm Landgraab who was recently dumped by Summer Holiday (long story). He decided she would be the perfect girlfriend. But didn’t want to make the same mistake of her leaving him, so he trapped her in a jail cell outside.
Zoe was miserable in her jail cell but fell in love with the kindest companion she ever met, patchy the scarecrow.
After screaming for months, Zoe finally flags someone down who will set her free: Sergio. But in exchange, he wants to marry Zoe.
They get married, raise a spoiled daughter, and live in an apartment. She’s constantly miserable and he’s always in debt and cheating on her.
They move to Evergreen where their daughter runs away with Jeb. And Sergio falls in love and moves in with Bess. (Bess’s boyfriend came out of the closet and they’re still friends)
Heartbroken and sad, Zoe calls for the only person she’s ever loved. Patchy. He says he won’t be with her until he’s a real human. He goes to Salvador where he heard there’s a cure. But gets stuck and is dying in the underground tunnels. He calls for her to come, thinking she can help.
She arrives, but can not help. And they both die
