"The Sims®" the next step in the storied franchise for release 2022

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Today, Maxis and Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: EA) is proud to introduce “The Sims®” scheduled for the release for Spring 2022 on PC and MAC.

Players of this best-selling award winning series with over 36 million unique players will experience all new revolutionary gameplay, by melding the single player experience with an all new multiplayer world under sun and bright lights of Simiami® City.

A persistent online metropolis, bubbling in a mosaic of culture and urban centers for players to explore alone or together. Get a job, develop relationships and build your personal apartment or condo's as you like. Invite friends over, throw dinner parties and go clubbing together or head out alone to compete in the chess matches at Lil Beach Park or join a local volleyball game in the sand.

Improve your sims skills and have them compete in daily tournaments for a chance to take home a golden chessboard or form a team to win the golden volleyball!

Featuring a wide variety of new activities with social gaming in mind, “The Sims®” allows players to connect, play and share experiences together like never before including live concerts with special guest appearances performing their Slimlish hits!

Or just maybe you’ll meet a favorite social media personality at a local deli, working behind the counter as they stream!

In Simiami® your apartment is yours to design, customize and build within your lot. A variety of properties are available from expensive beach condos to downtown lofts and feature player controls to limit, allow or prevent others from altering your property. Watch out for your friends or guests though, they can still mooch the food from your fridge and leave puddles in your bathroom!

Relationships are dynamic, with deep controls for privacy allowing only friends to interact with your sim based on your settings, preventing unwanted social interactions. Being online doesn’t mean you or your sim have to be an extrovert!

Continuing the legacy of its single player experience, “The Sims®” introduces an entirely new open world designed to be fully customizable for a completely offline private experience.

Featuring our new toolkit “Create A Neighborhood” or C.A.N, allows for endless creation from Northern cottage countries to sandy Pacific islands, moonscapes or the rural countryside. Allowing players to create the world they want and their sims to live in. Featuring an updated emotion system established in The Sims 4®, The Sims® introduces a new personality based AI system which bring your Sims and their neighbors to life!

Offline mode doesn’t mean players can’t share and are free to upload their creations on our in-game C.A.N collector gallery. “The Sims®” continues its history of supporting player made mods or custom content in single player mode.

Ready to take your Sim from offline to online for a vacation in the big city? No problem! Tickets are free and after a quick wardrobe change your sim is off to Simiama®, able to return at any time. Unfortunately, only your sim can make the trip back, but they can bring their new muscle car won street racing or stray pet they befriended on the beach!

“The Sims®” continues its tradition of the single player experience and introduces an all new online experience for the next generational step of the Sims® series set, for spring release of 2022 on PC and MAC.

Play online, play offline, its your choice. Play how you like!

Its “The Sims®!”
