Seeing as EA Executives perceives that Single Player Games are no longer Popular as they used to be (I disagree with this but this is what their company believes) I would rather have a single player The Sims 4 rather than multiplayer game with a side single player, which is possibly the direction The Sims 5 is heading to.
FIFA and MADDEN has Single Player Mode that is popular for fans (Career mode) yet it was neglected for years. Battlefield V become a disappointment for them and the main reason the executives think it was is mainly because there is no Battle Royale Mode when the game launched. Point is EA is focused on creating multiplayer games rather than Single Player.
Just compare how big their budget is for the next battlefield game to the point that DICE have to cut support for Both Battlefield V and Battlefront II when it comes to new content just for that game. The investment for Sims 4 Expansion Packs don't even come close.
