To be honest I don't think the sims 4 engine can handle much more. It wasn't the best on launch and just keeps getting worse as they add more and more to it. I think if they want this game to continue on as a sims 4.5 they would have to do a major overhaul to the foundation of the game itself. Call me a pessimist but I don't see them doing that. I see them continuing to try and add on to an unsteady game engine until it all just eventually falls apart. It looks like it might already be starting with all the new and old bugs popping up recently. If that's the case it would be smarter in the long run to cut their loses with this one and start over.
