I feel like EA is giving up on the Sims franchise. Killing off Sim City felt unthinkable to me but as they watched players flood to Cities Skylines after the reboot spectacularly crashed and burned EA's answer was to just shelve Sim City permanently. I have this ominous feeling they are going to do the same thing for the Sims when Paralives comes out. Even if it doesn't though, I feel like The Sim's days are numbered. This is one of the oldest franchises in gaming history that is still live. It can't last forever and EA is a money making machine first, gaming company second. They go where the coin is.
