When I switched laptops I had origin on my old laptop and installed the EA App on my new one. I installed the EA app through by going to the website. Never heard of S mode. I was able to log in and download the sims 4 again.
But nowadays EA app always shows up with a blank library. This happens every day when I want to play. I have to go to task manager and force close the EA background service and restart the EA app to be able to play. Alternatively restarting my pc also works to get the app to show my games.
