One last note about reshade that unlike noblu mod or world recoloring files - reshade more or less completely changes the look of your game to some degree (or completely).
So if you like the basegame appearance of the sims 4 - but don't want the blue lens coloring, then modding is the better way to go - but if you prefer a more stylized look of your own then I suggest reshade.
Personally I prefer the mod/recolor version for my town based gameplay and reshade for my medieval fantasy setting.
This. And you can find reshade presets all over the place. I have two that are my favorites, and it depends if I want a more "EA" look (as I term it) or more saturation. Both, to me, only make colors pop more, just one is more toned down and the other is a bit more saturated.
I had reshade a couple years ago, but got discouraged cause I couldn't find a preset I liked, and I can't adjust the settings myself, cause when it's only slight differences at a time, I can't see them. I need a full on before/after to compare to see how I like something. So I uninstalled reshade.
Then, in Dec, a friend was showing me some reshade presets she was trying out and I really liked one, so I reinstalled and won't play without the two reshades now. I view reshade the same as I do MCCC. It's a must have or I'll just play another game.
