Why get excited over anything? Like new music released by your favorite artist? It's the same bass, guitar, drums, synths, vocals - no new huge improvement. It's because while not being revolutionary, it still is nonetheless novel in a familiar, supported environment.
People get excited over the idea of weather, cars, or other previous content which they feel is missing from the game. It doesn't have to be completely new and revolutionary. I would be excited with cars, because it would be cars
in the Sims 4 environment, which is both novel, and could significantly add to gameplay.
