As a mega-huge-, always and forever fan of the "Sims" series...I'm majorly disappointed in this latest installment. "TS3" was almost limitless compared to any previous installment. Years of great fun and most people were a hundred percent willing to buy any expansion pack. Yes, it was that good. TS4 really is the worst attempt at improving and evolving the series to date. "It feels like a demo-only for a tablet or cell phone". The wide, open, expansive Sim world was really one of the series biggest achievements, now reduced to loading screens and a menu style neighborhood. Game Launch is incredibly fast, and would be heavily praised if what players actually load up was pleasing. Honestly, as a paying customer for years, and satisfied with every purchase to date, I feel insulted and cheated. TS3 was so good compared to this latest game, I'm sure many players here can remember being excited for every silly piece of data you gave us. This latest whack at evolving the series was short sighted, clearly aimed at players pocket books by stripping many basic features out, and too heavily focused on things that only made up about a quarter of the fun players had with the previous titles. CAS has potential to be great, but is highly frustrating (could not reduce my Sims face width, or do much to change him from the basic Asian male he started out as). "The game feels like it was produced by people that never played the Sims series". It feels like a half decent attempt to mimic the Sims 3. It feels like EA is counting on selling us more "add-ons" than ever before by offering such an expensive, stripped down base game.
As insane as this is to say, based on previous experience with Sims products, this may be the first Sims game I could care less if I ever played again.
