Things I don't like
1. lack of a color wheel. I realize CAS in it's entirety is not an option but at least a color wheel. a lot of the colors do not match and are off shade color.
2. very limited options for pregnant woman interactions with friends and family. Before there was "feel belly" "talk to bell" "listen to belly". instead now it's just "feel belly". a bit disappointed with this. also although she felt nauseous, there was no vomiting! she got an "uncomfortable moodlet" instead. not happy with this at all.
3. lack of nanny. It's very lazy that there is no nanny or babysitter.
4. the fact that the baby is confined to the crib only.
5. no toddlers. honestly the babies are hideous looking, however children are so adorable it makes me curious how cute toddlers would have been.
6. duplicate venues/commercial lots. it takes the same amount of time to load a lot whether your sims travels to oasis springs or stays in willow creek (or whatever the towns are called and vice versa) so why would you take up what limited commercial lot space we have with duplicates? There does NOT need to be a gym in each town, or a library, or museums. if anything should have been a RH it should have been museums. We should have had a grocery store and a book store. One in willow creek the other in oasis springs. What I fear is that with each new world we're really only getting 1 truly unique commercial lot because the other 3 lots will be yet ANOTHER library, museum, and gym. I vote take those three aforementioned community lots away, no need to make any more and instead give us unique and new community lots.
7. disappointed there are no bunk beds. So I'm guessing going to have to wait for a generations type EP or store content to obtain those items.
8. lack of simple basic careers such as: education, police, medical, political
9. lack of a hot tub
10. lack of a family tree. big disappointment
11. the controls are just clunky and terrible. I wish you had stuck with TS3 camera options
12. limited bar options. in TS3 sims could also order food at the bar. not so in TS4
13. I figured since y'all were going more TS2 in how jobs were set up and stuff that there would be a carpool and at the very list work friends would come home every once and again with your sim. Not the same at all. I think that would have been better than what is currently in game. disappearing in front of the house.
Things I really like
1. how fast things load. The game itself loads for me in under 30 seconds. The game saves in under 10 seconds. the game exits in under 10 seconds and it takes <20 seconds to load a lot.
2. I love how just by watching your sim's body language you can determine their mood. I still like to have the needs bar open so I can decide which they should fulfill first, but I'm first clued in to something not being right with the sim by how he/she carries himself/herself.
3. I love the pregnancy stage. I love playing families and having sims pregnant is my favorite pastime. I like how the body really changes, and I love how the needs fluctuate during pregnancy especially during labor. I love the ability to breast feed for the mom and the fact that she has to take a pregnancy test.
4. build/buy is the best ever. love everything about it aside from the lack of customization which I placed as my number one dislike. other than that I'm in love with build/buy. especially the ability to enlarge items as well as the amount of clutter and décor items present in base game.
5. I love that the babies aren't 100% of the time swaddled however it's obvious that absolutely 0 time was spent in constructing them either. evidenced by the fact that they genetically look nothing like the parents and they are confined to one outfit only. even 3-4 options to change their clothes would have been nice.
6. clothing in ALL categories. absolutely outstanding
7. elders do not appear decrepit, fragile, and crippled. instead they are aging with grace and good health.
8. bill system. much harder to keep money and takes longer to make more money. I just wish there was a true banking system with loans of credit
9. animation, aesthetic, and graphics
10. cooking/recipe options! nom nom nom
11. multi-tasking. let's just say I love having my sim eat pancakes and drink orange juice at the same time
12. the achievements, goals for parties and dates. I love the updated work system, how there are actual things to accomplish before you can level up. On point whomever thought of that nice touch.
