WOW, where to start
Things I like,
A Sims game launch I got to play without a single crash and so few bugs.
Smooth game play, no lag. Ultra settings, I can go from normal speed to fast and back again without the game freezing.. spent a while hitting 1-3 keys to see if I can break it..
My Sim feels alive, the whole emotional side to Sims 4 is very well thought out and implemented you don't even need to play the game to get a feel of it, you can just sit back and watch your smarter, emotional run their own lives.
NPC's or NPS's (however you like it) You get a lot more Sims around your home lot, either jogging by or walking somewhere stopping and chatting to other Sims in the street and joined by other Sims that were passing by.
The new build tools, took me a little while to get around but so much better than any of the other Sims games.
CAS.. OMG! fantastic job!
Multitasking, Awesome!
Things I don't like.
Load screens for every lot. Really hurts the flow of the game, want to visit next door 'LOAD SCREEN' want to go from the Gym to the bar in Oasis Springs 'LOAD SCREEN'
No pools. why? :(
Suggestions..
Base game So I know a lot more to come in future EP's So I'll stick to the thorn in my side.. Load screen spam.
Limit the load screens. Each town is set up in 'blocks' (hit travel you select a 'block' to travel to) the game should load all lots in that 'block' so if your sim wants to go visit the lot next door or the house across the street they can without the load screen getting in the way.
Overall.
I love it, sure it lacks some features we've been used to in other Sims games, pools for example. but this is a base game and for a base game I feel it has a lot more to offer than TS2 and TS3 base games did. The emotional side of the game really is a winner for me, in previous Sims games you could see what the sim wanted and a lot of the time I would sit here and think "na, I don't want you to have/do that. I'll tell you what you can do and when." and dismiss it. Sims 4 is a whole new way of playing, I'm finding myself watching his reaction to other Sims and other Sims reactions to my Sims actions, TS4 has me hooked like no other Sims release has before. Great job!
