- Multitasking is awesome! So much easier to keep my Sims happy by filling multiple needs at once. It also makes the gameplay feel more natural and is especially great in social gatherings.
- Emotions make the game play much more interesting. I love that socials change depending on my Sims emotion. The animations are super cute too.
- I also really like how leveling up in skills and careers changes actions/socials available and it is much more challenging to progress.
- Graphics are awesome. The worlds are just beautiful and the Sims are super cute, the animations are so smooth and detailed, I love it!
- You can fast forward through sleep and it is really FAST!
- I like that you get reward items as you progress throughout your career.
- Routing is much improved. I have hardly ever seen a Sim wave at me because there is something in their way and I've not noticed any real clipping issues either.
- The UI is great. I like the minimalist approach and its not too hard to find things. I do wish I could view my Sims panels when they are at work though.
- CAS is great! Just awesome, I don't even miss CASt and I'm sure with cc and additional future content this will only get better. I'd love some more styled looks added to the game too.
- I can actually make decent looking houses with roofs that fit!
- I really like that aspirations are changeable without losing progress and that these are broken down into multiple smaller goals to work towards.
- The Sims are so much more alive and interesting, their movements fluid, and they are just fun to watch.
- Public places are literally full of Sims! I can't tell you how happy it makes me when I take my Sim to the gym and struggle to find a piece of equipment that is free! :)

- I find the garden needs weeding and bug spraying a bit too often, it would be good if this occurred less frequently.
- Life stages/aging is unnatural. We need toddlers obviously and although I really thought it wouldn't bother me that teens are the same height as adults, it does. I find it hard to tell them apart in the game. I think either a life stage between the children and teens is needed (tweens) or somehow alter the appearance of teens to make them more distinguishable in order to improve the life stage progression and make it seem more natural.
- I need more colour options for curtains and rugs please! I can't find any curtains that will work with my hot pink and yellow living room colour scheme!
- For social events I really miss being able to schedule them for a certain time.
- Neighbors will not leave my Sims alone, they come over every day and stand outside my house for hours. I have no option but to ignore them or my Sims never get anything done but spend all day answering the door. Though I think this may be a bug in the process of being fixed.
Suggestions for improvement
- Better search options for the gallery, there is so much stuff in there to sift through! I'd like to be able to use a wild card when searching by item name or origin ID for example.
- I'd like to see public restaurants or movie venues so I have somewhere to take my Sims on dates other than to bars and clubs.
- The parks are so beautiful could we have some picnic objects? Rugs and baskets similar to the ones we had in TS3?
- I mentioned it above but a smoother aging progression with toddlers and possible also tweens as well.
- I'm a player who doesn't mind micro-managing my town in a rotational play style but it would be nice to have the option of story progression available.
Overall my initial impression is very positive. I am in Australia so have only had the game for 4 days but I've played for 42 hours already according to origin. I feel like I have barely scratched the surface in terms of content and I'm really pleased with the overall look and feel of the game.
