The Sims 4 Feedback Thread - come share yours

- There needs to be a colour wheel.

- My sims aren't making friends when I choose the 'socialize' option at work or school.

- Save files revert to previous saves. Yes I loaded the correct game.

- There needs to be an easy way to identify teenagers.

- Babies need to not be tied to their cribs.

- There needs to be more crib styles.

- The loading screens haven't been bath thus far and I like that there is public space around a lot of the houses.
However it would be nice to have larger lots or the ability to replace lots with larger ones.

- It would have been nice for the base game to have come with 3 or four worlds. The two are fun to play with and visit but there really is limited space to visit.

- Part time jobs should also be available for adults.

To be honest, I don't really like this game at all. There's not a whole lot for me to do in it. I hope it gets better as expansion packs come out. I don't know if it's my computer but the graphics don't look good.

I hate the way the town looks. There's barely any houses, no work places or school buildings that you can see, and very few community lots. Having an open world in The Sims 3 is the best.
No toddlers, pools, cars.
It's too basic.
Not enough options for clothes, etc.
The controls like zooming and out, etc. are not good. I miss them being on the screen.
You can't edit the town which is something I do every-time I play The Sims.

That's all I can think of so far. My biggest problem is that it's too basic. I'll probably go back to playing The Sims 2 & 3 till we get some expansion packs. I feel like this game is a major step back.

Needs toddlers, pools, the world map/view thing, I hate how it has a loading screen even just going across to the neighbours house :/ would love to have vehicles back in the game.. needs more way lots to build on or something and like already premade houses you can add in to the game like sims 3, careers lacking big time. :) other then that it's perfect.

I really like the game so far. I have a lot of feedback. But at the moment, I just want to share a few things: I'd really like to be able to re-order the UI down in the lower right corner. Also, my Sim got energized and went for a jog at 2 in the morning. As he jogged, there were TONS of Sims out doing the same thing, around the lot. I appreciate that more Sims appear on lots, but at 2 in the morning, there should be only a few and not 10.

I've input 25 hours into the Sims 4 and I like the way it plays a lot. The loads are super fast and the game never lags on my computer on Ultra. The UI took some getting used to, but it's really helpful and easy to use once you get used to it. I'm not really a fan of the situational pie menus, it would be nice to have it where it was still based on category and not based on whatever mood they were in. The AI is extremely wonky for me at times, where a whole gaggle of Sims will just amass in one lot and they'll all try to start a covnersationwith each other and there's a giant group of Sims just talking, which is quite annoying. Load screens in between neighborhoods and houses is different, I'm not sure how I feel about it, at the moment I'm kind of indifferent.

I do enjoy the way aspirations are taken care of in this game, but then sometimes I feel as if I'm making no progress on aspirations and they take forever to take care of for a small amount of points. It doesn't feel as rewarding sometimes.

The lack of the in depth Story Progression is what bothers me the most. I make multiple families and would like to see them populate the world and advance in their careers and learn skills, but it looks like they just live til they die and then another family is generated in their place. There's noting to drive generations or legacy's forward. Also when Sims age, there are extremely few distinguishable traits about them. Teens are just as tall as adults, and elders don't get much of a change to facial features. There is just greying hair which is a bit disappointing. Also, the absence of ghosts or an afterlife is a bit underwhelming. Even the lacking of being able to plead for a Sim's life is gone.

Going from Sims 3 to Sims 4, I'm a bit spoiled with the customization and being unable to choose whatever color or design I like is a personal gripe I have,

I'm still learning a lot of stuff, hopefully there's a ton of hidden features that I haven't uncovered yet. The game feels a bit empty compared to when The Sims 3 Base came out or Sims 2 Base was out, personally. My biggest fear though is that after I shell out $80 for a game that feels like it's lacking alot of content will I have to pay $60 all over again for each new expansion or stuff pack. It personally, just makes me a little bit reluctant and expecting of groundbreaking technologies and presentation if the games are starting to become this expensive.

Loving the multitasking the most, saved me many times from being late to work. I love that the houses can be made a lot more realistically. I really didn't think I was going to like this game, but I decided to try it because of the money back guarantee and I am glad I did. The interface is wonderful, I love all the added little things to build like changing kitchen counters and cupboards. I do still want toddlers and am hoping that they will be added later.

Also that they made it easier to mod. I'd love for a colour wheel if possible. If it doesn't make everything lag. I don't care about textures, a colour wheel would be nice, but if it is going to break how smooth the game runs it's not that important.

I am glad I gave it a shot because I was pleasantly surprised. I am really enjoying myself. I chose to be a tech lady and I think that gifts for your promotions really makes going to work more exciting.

The one thing I really, really miss story progression, because the sims in my neighbourhood don't feel the same as sims 3. It's not gamebreaking, but I loved that you would watch them advance, skill up, have families. It felt that their lives were more than just backdrops in your sims life. In the sims 3 I really cared about my relationships and the other sims, but in the sims 4 they kind of feel flat and lifeless, like the sims 2 that they are really only there to benefit your sim and they don't have a life of their own.

But overall, I am enjoying myself. I do want it to be more filled out. I want the pets and seasons expansion so I can have more things to play around with.

Edit: Yes GameofSims, yes I really would like family tree's too. I need to make my legacy families.

Not sure how many times this has been said, if it all, or if it has been stated clearly seen there are some big walls of (Helpful) text here but I just want to add in a bit too as I learn more.

-More dialog options please, like asking about careers, and just learning general info about a person, not seeing that little pop up telling you info about sims as you talk with them is a really big miss IMO, it makes it feel like you got no clue what they are talking about anymore.

-Ability to eat raw fruit/Veggies please, why on earth isn't this a thing? :o

What you liked
- IT LOOKS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS
- How it works when they go to school and work
- The closed world (goodbye lag and grey blurry objects!!)
- The emotions
- Child aspirations
- CAS, I love how it looks and how it works. There are so many colouring options for clothes, I hated how it worked with the Sims 3, create-a-style always lagged for me.
- How smooth it runs on my laptop, it's incredible!

What you didn't like
- No more toddlers
- Teenagers with the same height as adults
- No pools, I want to swim D:
- No family trees, this is maybe a really small feature, but I really really miss it. I loved looking back in the tree to all past generations I played. So now I retreated to writing it all down on paper.
- Lack of story progression, this is one of the things I loved in the sims 3, and I really miss it
- How fast things break. I have played 3 weeks with one family, and every toilet and shower has already needed to be repaired at least twice, it's annoying.
Suggestions?
Please, please, please add family trees to the game, then I'll be a happy camper.

Love it! It needs some improvement, but so far I'm in love with this game

They should be ashamed of themselves. Seriously? £60.00? And for that, you are transported back to the basics, yet again. Bare essentials is putting it mildly. The missing list that doesn't include expansion packs is the real kick in the groin. And it's not as if it costs a fortune to make objects for this game, they're pixels for gawd's sake!

Sims 2 was a truly innovative game that managed to keep the spirit of the game, yet at the same time, take it to a new level. Sims 3 felt more like a sidestep from Sims 2. There were one or two innovative aspects that were introduced, in particular the new design feature. A sidestep would be welcome as far as the Sims 4 is concerned. Sadly, this potentially remarkable game has failed on all accounts and feels like a step backwards.

Don't they owe us loyal fans a fully stocked game from the start? We've paid our dues, time and again. Each time they release a new version, they force us to buy a repackaged expansion. There's no innovation, no feeling the game evolved. A truly innovative design team would see this and start us off with what we already have and come up with new ideas for expansions. In fact, the only expansion packs in Sims 3 that took us somewhere new was, Island Paradise and Into the Future. Those two packs ultimately turned the Sims 3 from a sidestep to something akin to evolution.

There are a million ways this game could improve on itself. Too many to mention. Instead, they take the lazy route and worst of all, they take our hard earned money. Shame Steve Jobs couldn't be a part of the design team for the Sims. Now that would be a Sims game the fans deserve.

I have been playing the Sims since the first series, and I must say big changes were made.

Things I love
- build mode, absolutely incredible options, I am able to do basically whatever I desire.
- emotions, they really add to the gameplay and make the sims a bit more difficult or easy to get what you want out of the game.
-sims are everywhere! I love this, I can make friends any where I go. Unlike ts3 it was so hard to find a mate for my legacy challenge.
- multitasking, this is awesome, such a necessity now, in future Sims games
- all the objects that are available in buy model what an increase from sims 3 base game.
- graphics are amazing! Moving curtains and tree branches to the wind, blew my mind.
- don't miss toddlers, I must say having the age up option to be up to you is great, so You can decide when your child ages up.
-breast feeding, ENCORE!
- the diversity in this game is amazing, the ability is CAS is truly remarkable.
This list can go on, well done.

Things I did not care for
- Camera, I had the most difficult time tilting the camera, and found out I could not do much about it.
- columns, so I wanted a deck that goes beyond my base floor but I did not want it to look like it was floating, so I tried to build a foundation square with a column in the centre, this was difficult. Maybe tweak this a bit?
- lots of bugs, I know eventually they will be fixed.
- bunch of fixing to do constantly, my sims toilet And fridge (really cool) breaks all the time.
- only can put one window on one section of the wall, cannot put windows above each other.
- don't miss the pools either, because I know they will be put back in wit EPs
- basements, miss them lots. The lots are very small so having a basement would add more square footage.
- can not take time off from work, maternity, or vacation time. What am I suppose do when my sims are getting married...
- cannot use radio or tv to workout

Suggestions

- create a neighbourhood
- bigger lots
- make foundation optional for other building on lots, for example the house have a foundation but have a shed with no foundation.
- one more story, 4 floors instead of 3 if Basements are not possible.
- colour wheel for cloths, not cast just a wheel, if that is possible.

This is all I can think of at the moment, but other that that sims 4 creators take a bow! You did not disappoint. Keep on Simming!
