What on earth am I doing wrong? I have tried different stuffed animals (small & big) and TVs (tabletop & wall), moved the animal and TV, turned the TV on, had a child interact with the toy, even restarted my game. The task will not click off. Help! I've wasted so much time and simoleons! 😩
I clicked on the event task to see if I could get more info. This is all it offered.
I didn’t have this issue with bb.moveobjects enabled, but another simmer who was having the same issue as you found that by disabling bb.moveobjects and then placing the stuffed toy made it register as completed. Perhaps this may help you?

rosemow Thank you for the suggestion. I wondered about that. Unfortunately, I made sure MO was off, but it still made no difference. I did start a new family in a new save and was able to complete this week's quests though. Maybe something just glitched with the first attempt. 🤷♀️
This is Rick. He and his father were able to complete the quests for this week. Here, he's drawing a plan. 🙂

lanlynk rosemow I don't use cc or mod but I only had to buy a new toybox and new stuffed animal. I aged up a toddler to do the event and found so many bugs with the birthday event and reported some of them yesterday - none were new - just new to me. it took 2 different attempts to age up my toddler.😛 It felt like the game was being pushy too as both parents and grandparents in household got a 3rd 'want' to "complete forever friends ?" I don't remember exact wording. While I was having issues aging up Tamar. Once this was accomplished, Tamar's grandfather completed all the tasks that were not required to be done by a child! Tamar actually only did 2 of the tasks out of all of them. I kept resetting the grandfather to stop him from doing the tasks as he was doing them automatically - Even woke him up in the middle of the night - energy bar had just turned green - and he was up wanting to talk to the stuffed animal. I finally surrendered and let him do all of them, but 2.
But now I have a question - Can anyone direct me to a place where I can educate myself about how different saves actually work??? I have only ever played rotationally, 1 game = 5 ? saves? something like that.
