The sims 4 game was not going to last forever .

I've moved from each iteration to the next and it won't be any different for Project Rene. I'm just going to enjoy these last 2-3 years of Sims 4 content.

Moving on will depend on a lot of things for me, but the biggest thing will be the multiplayer aspect and how much it does or doesn't effect the single player aspect. I will be waiting and watching for more info. I never expected 4 to last forever and as much as I love new stuff for the game, will be kind of glad when it is finished and I no longer have to worry about constantly having to update all my mods over and over.

I don't move on from games.I still play the games.I still play 3 and 2 .When Renege comes I'll still visit four.

I play sims 5. The sims 4 had to end sometime to keep up with better graphics and newer pcs.

I tried to continue playing the previous versions. Inevitably when switching back and forth I'd get confused about features and interactions or disappointed because I missed a feature that was available in a different version.

I understand what you mean.There are some features I miss from each one, but each one has different features that I like or miss.The old games have there charm.I like sims 2 apartment system..I like sims 3 controllable pets and have more fun collecting things.

Sims 4 is still going on for at least another two years, plenty of time to play it and maybe even tire of it, especially if they don't fix bugs and stuff.

There’s not much more I really need in TS4, so I’ll be fine staying with it for a while once we get a music pack. I’m not an early adopter of new iterations, anyway. I stayed on TS3 for years before switching to TS4. That’s mostly because I need something other than just a basic career and family game, and it takes a few pack releases before the game is something that suits my play style. How quickly I adopt TS5 will depend on how quickly it provides the kind of game I like to play, and is totally dependent on being able to play solo. I have zero interest in multiplayer, but can deal with limited access type play (such as limited visits to friends games). If TS5 is a no go for me, I’ll just stick with what I have.

I guess I’m neither hyped nor disappointed. It’s a game. If it looks like it will entertain me, I’ll eventually invest in it. If not, I won’t. Meanwhile, TS4 will get some new additions, and hopefully music will be one of them.

I think for some of us, myself for sure, the fear is they aren't going to just make a better version of what we have, but something radically different that will bear no resemblance to the gameplay we love. If I knew it was going to carry on as it has for the last 22+ years as a single player game only I would be really excited. I'm looking forward to it more now after seeing that single player will be included. I still have worries but the big one was answered.

I used to go back and play 3 when we didn't have vampires in 4, but now I can't. It's horribly laggy with this newer computer. Someday 4 will be the same way. But at least for now I have my favorite version of the game to play with.

It's not going anywhere anytime soon.

Besides, I'm sure the option will still exist to play TS4, even when TS5 is out
