Personally I'd put oasis springs in Australia since the middle class houses give me that vibe and some parts of Australia are in the desert lol but other parts of OS remind me of Spain lol which is in Europe. And SM spice market reminds me of New York lol
I see your point, although as an Australian, Oasis Springs just feels too American to me (of course, none of the worlds in TS4 are definitively based on any real life places, so if you imagine Oasis Springs to be in the Australian desert, then that is where it is in your game  ).
That said, I definitely would like to see a TS4 world that looks like a rural Australian town. Though rural Australia varies wildly in appearance, from desert, to grassland, to rainforest, to temperate mountains.
(Off the top of my head, the movie The Dressmaker is an excellent representation of a rural Australian town in the desert, in my opinion)
I meant like the houses do in the middle range area. they kinda remind me of these houses in Australia

Ah yes, I see what you mean.
You're right, those houses are kinda common, but more so around cities, in newly developed areas. Most small, rural towns in Australia tend to be around 100 or so years old, and the houses tend to be just as old. They're weatherboard houses that generally have had an extension or two added on to them as time has gone on. And the buildings lining the main street of the town I grew up in where mostly brick buildings from around the 1920s/1930s, which house the shops/pubs/cafes, etc. Very few houses were modern like the one in the picture, except for where someone has had enough money to knock down and rebuild rather than renovate the old weatherboard house.
