I personally don't play with mods though. For one thing, I play on Xbox One and don't know if I could even use mods if I wanted to.- GroovyLady19685 years agoSeasoned AceThe last roommate my Sim had baked cakes. There were 8 cakes in fridge before I kicked her out. She lived there maybe 10 hours. All she did is bake white cakes. Sorry, I need to control my Sims. If you can't focus on a lot of Sims then just play smaller households. Also, it's easy to move Sims in and out. If they a related or good friends they will come over and hang out all the time anyway. I hated that I couldn't control the pets so I have the controllable pets mod.

Yeah, that is a problem when they see to get stuck in a loop but I've never had a sim just keep doing the same thing over and over except the one time that my sim's son stole snatched the credit card and hired a caterer because he wanted dessert.- Lazzial5 years agoSeasoned AceAbsolutely. I'd start playing again if I could play a single member of a household. Having to control a household of a spouse, mother-in-law, and kids for example not only gets tedious at times but sometimes just boring when you can control all their actions. Where's the drama? When I'm controlling all of them I never wonder how the kids are doing in school, whether or not the spouse is cheating or why the mother-in-law spends all her time at the Nahrwal Arms :D
- ChampandGirlie5 years agoSeasoned AceI might be in the minority but I play with all of my sims. I typically don't focus on one single sim but on all of them. That can be a challenge in a big household but I still do it. I use the pause button to then line up actions for them. If they autonomously decide to do something I might let them continue doing it but I generally come up with a series of actions for all of the sims.
I'll rotate from a big household to a smaller household when I want a break, but I guess I find it interesting or easy. If anything, it takes a while to fill up the needs of all the sims in bigger households, but I manage it. Sometimes I send them all out to a venue together. I guess I like managing groups of sims. Sometimes, I like the ease of playing a smaller household though.
I mentioned this elsewhere but I generally have some concept of what motivates any given sim. It sounds complicated but it isn't. "Here's Jane Sim, she's the mother of the household. After her much needed shower, breakfast and caffeinated beverage of choice she will either spend time with her family or enjoy a little time to herself. Does she have any chores to do?" Line up a series of actions and check on her later or glance at her as she's at some stage in the activities. If I have a specific plan then obviously that takes priority. - It would be interesting to have NPC family members but at the moment the AI seems rather borked for Sims I leave on free will.
NPC Toddlers, children and teens is a challenge I try, which works well with parenting skills and gives the children a sense of personality, but even then the free will AI isn’t that great. - GalacticGal5 years agoLegendWith the Road to Fame mod, I have the option to make my celebrity Sim an NPC celebrity, but I enjoy playing him. So, I haven't taken advantage of it, yet. Nor, do I expect to ever.

That's what I'm saying! Where's the drama??? I wanna see how my kids will act if I remove the temptation to make them do exactly what I tell them too. Alas, I have no self-control. lol"ChampandGirlie;c-17422986" wrote:

I stack up actions for my sims too but there's the rub, I then know exactly what they're doing. There's no mystery, no surprise... no DRAMA. lol"UnknownGamer;c-17422992" wrote:

Yeah, the AI system would probably require some tweaking but I have faith in the Sims Team.
