I am enjoying the versatility of the spellcasters. As a rotational player I always appreciate the stuff that enriches my game. Many of my characters are now refresh with RoM. For example:
1. My Selvadorada Witch: she was an archelogist, she have a wolf that loves fire. She loved to use her relics >:) And she used one just arriving to RoM. She was an old character but the first I took to RoM. She is now learning the Untamed Magic. My beginning with her was a little dark:
She is now a spellcaster, but she still loves her relics so we will travel to the jungle soon >:) https://i.imgur.com/pz4aAG0.png
Thanks to her I discovered that Grimmy shows at RoM. Now I have a ghost for duels and to test some of untamed spells:
https://i.imgur.com/UAeHbqS.png
2. My "fake" faeries and ghosts: I'm playing with my "fake" fairies since day one. My fairies are childish, joyful but sometimes a little dangerous. So they are now spellcasters learning the Mischief Magic and Practical one. My fairies are not good with the Alchemy so I'm discovering the curses whit them :o I chose the magic for the ghosts depending of their backstory which gives more depth to the character. I love ghost households and RoM is awesome for ghosts, it is a new gameplay for me:
She is Marguerite, a XIX ghost, I played her many hours, now she is learning Mischief Magic (yes, I know, those outfits are a nightmare, but in this case L. Faba looks better as a knight lol): https://i.imgur.com/zv6gwxz.png
My fairies, mother and daughter (her father is Father Winter, and her sister is a vampire, supernatural family, yay): https://i.imgur.com/ueKfODd.png My first and not last curse in game: https://i.imgur.com/709bl0n.png
3. My Sulani Sorcerer: well, this one is great, before RoM he lived in a lot with Island Spirits and Volcanic Activity traits! He also have the Child of the Island trait. Now he is learning Alchemy. The game with him is really intense so it is good he works as a fishermen so we can have a break sailing and fishing at Sulani sea.
I've been playing exclusively with witches ever since RoM came out. There's one big family in particular where every member is going down a slightly different path, and I already presented them in the "What happened in your game today?" thread a few days ago, but it's better suited for this one, so I'll just copy my post from there.
Pompiliu https://abload.de/img/pompiliul3kfj.png Once upon a time an attractive street magician decided to stop stealing women's hearts and other belongings and explore his actual magical bloodline instead. By now Pompiliu is old and... dead, killed by a magic overload, but that doesn't stop him from still being one of the world's most famous wizards, the mayor of Glimmerbrook, and father of two highly talented witches from different mothers.
Stelmaria https://abload.de/img/stelmaria8bj3e.png This magically gifted human-alien hybrid* is all about knowledge, both of the magic and the mundane kind. Excelling at all three schools of magic, but also equipped with superior intellect, Asari powers and a stronger magical bloodline than her father, Stelmaria is arguably the most powerful witch in the Popescu household. (* She's not actually a hybrid, just a regular witch who looks like an alien, but I'm trying to find a cheat or mod to give her alien powers.)
Evangelina https://abload.de/img/evangelina3ekh3.png A journalist and housewife who likes to use kitchen appliances, her violin and magic as outlets for her creativity. Don't mistake her domesticity for weakness when it comes to estimating her magical prowess, however; Evangelina is fiercely protective of her family and a master duelist, unleashing her untamed wrath on everyone who threatens her loved ones.
Cătălin https://abload.de/img/ctlinvzjda.png Evangelina's husband, a scientist from a muggle family who cares less about flashy spells and more about the complicated study of alchemy. Cătălin has made it his purpose in life to prove a connection between science and magic. Whenever he's not busy brewing potions of every imaginable kind, he likes to tend the garden and take long walks in the forest of Glimmerbrook with his trusty black fox familiar, Nicolas Flamel.
Lucian https://abload.de/img/lucianzejbq.png Judging by character alone, you wouldn't be able tell that this handsome scoundrel is the first child of sensible Evangelina and introverted Cătălin, being a fun-loving ladies' man and basically a living memory of his grandfather Pompiliu's teen years. Lucian doesn't care much about family traditions or good grades and uses mischievous as well as Selvadoradian magic predominantly to woo girls and get rid of romantic rivals.
Lumi https://abload.de/img/lumiscjf0.png The baby and the heart of the family, it sometimes appears that Lumi only came to this world to make people happy. Often referred to as the responsible sibling in contrast to her foolish older brother, she is not only a straight-A student and an excellent scout, but also specialises in practical magic to help others and make everyone's lives more comfortable.
That's not all. I have more magic households in my game where I like to get creative with the different styles of magic, I'll share them later when I have pictures. There's one currently in my library that is based on the royal family from Frozen, but with Frozen II around the corner, I'll wait until I see what new facets the film will add to Elsa's powers and maybe the entire family before moving them into the world.
So the way I play it’s sort of the Medieval fantasy
There is the King, and they way his court is set up He essentially rules with the Mages and the Knights of Briarheart at his side, to support his rule. maintaining stability, security, and justice, and providing strength and wisdom.
The Magic has strong roots in the Kingdom of Briarheart. Daerick and his brother Kaegan who are the founders of the Mages Council are the two most powerful practitioners of magic to have ever lived. Archmage Daerick is the King’s advisor and very close friend.
Daerick is slightly more ambitious and liberal with his magic. He’s very serious and very bold with his desires and intentions. He has mastered all the types of magic he leans towards mischief and untamed more.
Aside from the Mages council he also Leads two secret factions a the Brotherhood a secret assassination group of blood thirsty vampires and I’m working on this Club of dark Ghost-spell casters that are also like spies and thieves that retrieve and do Daerick’s dirty work in the shadows. As to the vampires.
Kaegan is Daerick’s opposite. He’s prefers to stay away from court life and live a simpler life. So while Daerick lives it up at Court (in windenburg), Kaegan stays back at their magical mystical chateau in the north (in Glimmerbrook) and looks after the land the vineyard. part of the Mages council, he is right behind his brother knows every spell in the book, except the spell: rite of ascension, that power will remain with the Archmage. Kaegan is a bookworm and spends his time collecting Lore and spellbooks and He’s more untamed and Practical magic
Then there are the Nymph Sisters. Amara, Ivy and Vivian they have powers over nature gardening, untamed magic and herbalism and alchemy is their focus.
Nostradamus, I’m trying to get him involved, maybe alchemy and compelling mind control spells.
Vincent, he is a Mortal Knight right now but he is fated to become a Spellcaster and his favorite hobby is to cooking, baking, mixology, etc so maybe delicious spells and herbio and all that.
Cora who is future Queen will become a Spellcaster and becomes Daerick’s student after her husband’s The future King’s death she will turn to magic to bring him back after Kaegan refuses to mess with the balance. In order to revive a life a life must be taken.
@Dannydanbo X-sims! I do not why but I imagine them in the streets of San Myshuno <3 living at the same neighborhood. Sometimes I wish to start a new save to create new characters, but I'm playing the same save since Vampires release. By now I am very attached to my sims. Oh, post some pictures, please :)
Thanks for posting your family here @GrumpyGlowfish <3 I can not play more than 4 sims at the same time :D I get dizzy and I always neglect someone... Your family is great, I love the story, my fav is Stelmaria (is she wearing CC, her hair?). I love your teens, I always have fun with them. One of my fairies is still a teen. How do you create their names? The dinning room picture is my fav!
Ok @MasonGamer reading your post is like finding a composition of old medieval books <3 that's a complete saga! Vamps are my favs, in my game I'm still thinking how to incorporate them to the magic world. Do you build your scenarios? Do you use CC? I hope you can post some pictures (and how your story goes). Thanks for sharing!

It very well is several books. Essentially there is the Medieval Saga and then the “Modern” saga. Personally I think Harry Potter is trash compared my story.
Everything is plotted, nothing happens in my game with out my command.
I use a tremendous amounts of CC historical, medieval.

Around four sims is also my preferred household size for pretty much the same reasons, but with the Popescus, I wanted to create the impression that they're a big, renowned magic family exploring all different kinds of magic. As for their names, they're supposed to be Romanian, so I just looked up Romanian given names and picked a few that sounded nice (although I also know someone called Cătălin in real life). Stelmaria is the exception, I got that one from a novel I read years ago and don't even know if it's a real name, but I like it. And yes, both her Asari hair and the scarf she's wearing in the dining room are CC.
I started playing with a new magic family today (this has to be my... sixth, I believe?) featuring the witches from the original Charmed (1998). I didn't want to make them at first because of how different magic works in their show, but when I thought about it, I was surprised how easy it was to reconcile with the game after all. Ladies and gentlemen and all the others, meet
First of all I have to admit that these sims as well as the house they're living in were not made by me, I merely edited them. I don't have my game on at the moment, but if anyone is interested, I'm going to look up and share the names of these incredibly talented creators the next time I play.
https://abload.de/img/halliwellmanorvfk0x.png
In this alternate universe, all four Halliwell sisters are alive together in the manor, working on their plan to become as powerful as possible and overthrow the sages at some point, and that includes ...
Prue https://abload.de/img/pruediepraktischverangkkey.jpg ... who canonically died at the end of the third season. Her primary power on the show was Telekinesis, which doesn't exist in TS4, but Practical Magic can do many things that you would use telekinesis for if you could (like cleaning the house, making the garden tend itself, etc.), so that became her preferred style of magic in my game. Once she's advanced enough, she will also learn the cloning spell of the untamed style because that closely resembles her power of astral projection, and I wonder, since she's also an archaeologist in reference to her work with antiquities in early seasons, if the clone can be told to help her dig out artefacts and defuse traps in Selvadorada. When at home, Prue works as a freelance fashion photographer along with her deceased lover Andy who came back as a raven familiar to watch over her.
Piper https://abload.de/img/piperdieungezhmtekchid8kcm.jpg Arguably the strongest of the Halliwell sisters when it comes to raw demon-stopping power, especially since she learned Molecular Combustion, it's only fitting for Piper to be a master of arguably the strongest school of magic in TS4, Untamed Magic. As chance would have it, that school also teaches two powers that suit her actual powers on the show, Inferniate and Chillio. (Technically she blows things up rather than just setting them on fire, and the victims of her other power don't actually freeze in ice, but close enough.) Despite this, Piper is the most down-to-earth of the sisters when it comes to using magic, preferring to cook meals and repair broken objects the old-fashioned way, with her hands, and sometimes resorts to a little alchemy when that doesn't suffice. Her familiar is a fairy called Leo.
Phoebe https://abload.de/img/phoebedieschelmischehlpkjs.jpg Now here's where things get tricky, because Phoebe's power to see the future isn't a thing in TS4 at all, and her other power of Empathy is only available to aliens. But if you look at the bigger picture and just accept that her powers in general revolve around the mind (and in the future episode of Season 2, she actually finds a way to attack people with it), you'll see that Mischief Magic offers quite a few ways to control the minds of other sims. Add to that the fact that Phoebe was the most mischievous of the sisters before Paige came along, and everything just falls into place! She's also the only witch in this household who uses a broom for transportation because that was yet another ability she gained at some point on the show, and as with the others, her familiar (a bunnerfly) is named after her significant other, Coop.
Paige https://abload.de/img/paigediekeckezaubertridj89.jpg For those of you who never got that far with the original Charmed, Paige was the result of an affair of the other sisters' mother with her whitelighter (a witch's guardian angel of sorts), introduced in the fourth season to replace Prue after her death. As such, she gained a mixture of whitelighter powers (which include healing and teleporting) and a variation of Prue's primary power (but instead of actual telekinesis, she just teleports objects directly into her hands, or wherever she needs them). I made her a doctor in my game to reflect her whitelighter nature, and she also uses a few practical spells similar to Prue (especially Teleportalate, for obvious reasons), but her main focus is on Alchemy. She's the only sister whose familiar is a pet and not named after a lover, but Kit, after the sisters' real cat familiar on the show.
Should I introduce the evil Mamminis in detail next, or are they already well-known forum celebrities by now? >:)
@MasonGamer I love medieval sagas, as for the modern ones I think Potter is entertaining. But they are other modern sagas that are stunning: The Earthsea Cycle from U. K. Le Guin! I love the wizards of this books <3 have you read it?
Wow @GrumpyGlowfish the sims, the house an even the interiors are so accurate :o Lol Piper picture is epic! I'm still working in my spellcasters, finally one of them learned Decursify... but I still need to play more the Mischief Magic. I haven't seen all the spells or all the curses yet. But I finished all the lots for Glimmerbrook. I need more free time :D
