The other way around: The first household is situated in Strangerville and my sim was at home when the notification happened. The second household is in Sulani, in the lagoon neighborhood. So if not being in Sulani when the notification comes prevents the event from spawning, switching to Sulani doesn't seem to repair that.

I think I've also seen the hatching object in debug. Has anybody tried that yet?
