unless you want your sims struggling along on thier own I would suggest "motherlode" .
Later after I finished discovering all the new stuff i will play without cheats.

My bills are not above 2,000 most of the time. I think its calculated by things you have in your lot and the value of your house.

You know, as high as they are I am happy with that. It always seemed to be too easy in TS3 when you could earn oodles of money so quickly and even a giant mansion with tons of high end stuff in it would only put the bills around $3k to $4k. The last time I played TS3 my family had over $2M and I had already purchased almost all of the properties in town and built a half dozen resorts. I'd rather have to work for it a little harder to pay the bills.

Have to husstle now make everyone work lol or have good career. My sims are poor right now,i live in a small house. Im not going to use any cheats i want them to earn the $$.

Yeah. I had Bob Pancake move into another house and I got him to drop his cash down to $1,000 thinking he could make $4,000 in a week in level 5 in the culinary career....yeah, nope! Good thing the furniture in his old house moved with him so now he has "inheritance" money from his now dead Eliza to help pay the bills week to week.

I love it, it gives a challenge to the player for those who don't cheat. And there is some decision involved for moving to a better house and judging if you can afford it or not.

My rich sims in their mansion in Oasis springs is 18k! woot woot!

I like the idea of the challenge, lol makes it more like real life. :)
