- vyvexthorneSeasoned NoviceMods are tough. Especially any mods that add scripting. As we know from Bethesda's mods for Fallout and Skyrim.. Sony doesn't like scripting. Xbox is ok with in game scritping but you can't use mods that use a script extender. Then you have the problem that every mod would have to be vetted by EA / Maxis and uploaded to their own mod site. You can't just get on the internets and download whatever you like. As spread out as the sims communtiy is, it might actually be a difficult task to get modders to want to upload their stuff to an EA site specifically built to download mods for consoles. I'm sure we'd get some and some modders would be enthuisastic about it but we would never have the vast amount of stuff that is available on PC. Mods like Wicked Whims, Basemental Drugs, etc, would be obvious no-no's on console as well as mods on console have to adhere to the rating of the game.
- I know everyone’s excited about this but I think this is going to open a all new can of worms. Not a good idea. All the power to ya all!
- Am I weird for being happy and content with the online gallery? I think EA has made a huge leap in the right direction including us. As far as mods and cc I say that's the reason why we have a PC and a Console. No one is saying you cannot play sims with mods or CC... It's just not something for the console. Give a person like me access to mods on console and I would most likely be the one downloading a virus lol.

No not at all. I was able to download some lots to my console so yes I love the gallery however there is some bugs they need to fix with the gallery that will hopefully be addressed in the Update later today. - That would be awesome to use mods on consoles
- I would love for console to have mods. Mods would make gameplay so much more fun!
- When you mean mods do you mean the ability to finally recolor things so that stuff can be matched the right way?
- I'm not bothered about it I wouldn't use it if they brought it to console id just get bugs upon bugs it wouldn't be worth it
- I don't see this happening since Sony done said that they don't allow modding of any games on the PS4. I don't think that Sony will agree to this because they have kept the memory for the PS4 down to 500 mbs. Which is not a lot, considering how much memory space that some of today's video games take up. One of my nieces has a PS4 with not a lot of games on it. And she's already getting the no memory space left message. And also the fans of Conan Exiles that play Conan Exiles on the PS4 have been begging to be allowed to mod Conan Exiles on the PS4. There is currently just shy of 900 mods to date for Conan Exiles, and all are for PC only. I would love to see TS4, and CE on the PS4 get modded. To add salt to this wound, Sony has allowed Fallout4 for the PS4 to be modded. But they refuse modding for Sims4 and Conan Exiles for some odd reason. I don't see this happening any time soon, not until Sony lets up on their restriction of modding of video games for the PS4.
- catloverplayerSeasoned AceWith the new python update on pc coming which will effect mods I think this will make the wait even longer for consoles to get mods.
